Immigrants Hub Canada International (IHCI) is a not-for-profit organization in Calgary, Alberta. We help immigrants and newcomers build the knowledge, skills, and connections they need to settle and take part in Canadian life.

Across all our programs, we bring newcomers, children, youth, women and seniors together for mentoring, learning and community projects.

Programs for every stage of the journey

Our programs respond to different stages of settlement, family life and community participation. Participants can access support that fits their needs while remaining connected to a wider community.

Children

Helping immigrant and newcomer children learn, build confidence, celebrate their identity and develop a strong sense of belonging.

Women

Creating opportunities for immigrant women to build skills, strengthen economic independence, support their well-being and take active roles in their communities.

Newcomers

Practical support for navigating life in Canada, building skills, understanding systems, finding community and moving toward greater independence.

Senior

Helping immigrant seniors stay connected, informed, active and engaged through social, digital, wellness, navigation and intergenerational programs.

Across our community

Some needs cross age and program boundaries. Our organization-wide activities include settlement and integration support, mentorship, financial literacy, community engagement, rights awareness, cultural orientation, wellness support and intergenerational programs.

Support that sees the whole person

Settlement is about more than completing paperwork or finding a service. People are also building relationships, raising families, finding work, maintaining cultural identity, learning unfamiliar systems and trying to feel at home.

Culture, language and lived experience matter in how support is designed and delivered.

Intergenerational

Children, adults and seniors are part of the same families and communities. We create opportunities for generations to learn from and support one another.

Programs should help people deal with real situations in their everyday lives.

We work to reduce barriers that can prevent people from participating because of language, income, age, ability or circumstance.
